India’s young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant ran through a major car accident on December 30. The mishap happened in the early hours of the day at around 5:30 am. The southpaw wanted to surprise his family members as he decided to travel all the way from Delhi to Uttarakhand.
Rishabh Pant, who was driving his Mercedes, was heading to his hometown Roorkee in Uttarakhand. Apparently, Rishabh Pant dozed off while driving his car, which led to a major crash as he rammed into one of the divider linings of the Delhi-Dehradun highway.
All of a sudden, the car picked up the fire and the flames started spreading all over the vehicle. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant jumped out of the burning vehicle in no time and escaped burns or fractures. However, he did sustain wounds to his body as he picked up a ligament tear in his knee.
Besides that, he picked up wounds on his left eye, wear and tear on his back and also had a wound on his forehead. He was immediately admitted to a nearby local hospital where he sought further medical assistance from the surgeons. Meanwhile, the surgeons, after operating on the cricketer, confirmed that Pant is out of danger.

Suresh Raina’s video call with a doctor goes viral
Rishabh Pant’s extent of injuries is still not yet known as he will be undergoing MRI scans anytime soon. The wicketkeeper-batsman is yet to get back on his feet and has been shifted to Max hospital.
Meanwhile, it seems that Rishabh Pant has been ruled out of cricketing action for at least a year, according to a leaked video call clip which has been doing the rounds on the internet. Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina was seen having an interaction with doctors.
Suresh Raina inquired about Rishabh Pant’s current health status. The doctor can be seen explaining Rishabh Pant’s current condition to Suresh Raina. Meanwhile, a person from behind said, “Ek Saal ke liye gaya hai” (Translation: He is gone for one year).
