Arshdeep Singh is expected to make his ODI debut against New Zealand after impressing in the T20I series as well. In his short career, the left-arm pacer has created a massive impact and he is likely to handle the new ball duties alongside death bowling for India.

In the presence of Washington Sundar, India are expected to go with only a single spinner and hence, Umran Malik is likely to receive his maiden ODI cap. The speedster from Jammu Kashmir is a prospect for the future and the team management might be tempted to unleash him against the Kiwis.

While Kuldeep Yadav made an emphatic return in the ODI series against South Africa, Yuzvendra Chahal might get a nod ahead of him in playing XI. The leggie had decent two games in the T20I series against the Kiwis as he bagged two wickets. He will be eager to cement his place in the ODI XI with solid performances against the Blackcaps.
