All-rounder Hardik Pandya lost his place in the Indian national cricket team for obvious reasons. He didn’t bring out his all-round abilities to better effect since he wasn’t 100% fit as he focused only on his batting in the recent years for Team India.

However, he failed to bring the best out of himself with the bat. Moreover, he also didn’t bowl in the T20 World Cup 2021 in the United Arab Emirates. Since he failed to tick all the boxes, the team management decided to axe him from the national set-up.

Hardik Pandya was also released from Mumbai Indians as the five-time IPL champions parted ways with the all-rounder ahead of the new season. The all-rounder was signed by the newly-inducted franchise, Gujarat Titans as captain for this season.

MSK Prasad delighted after watching all-rounder Hardik Pandya doing well

Under Hardik Pandya’s captaincy, Gujarat Titans started their journey on a positive note. GT earned a win over Lucknow Super Giants in the first game. After that, the Ahmedabad-based team went on to outsmart Delhi Capitals in the next game.

No team has won three games on the trot this season. Gujarat Titans are also the unbeaten side in this season and they are taking on Punjab Kings in tonight’s encounter. They will look to win this game to bag a hat-trick of wins.

Meanwhile, former Board of Control for Cricket in India chairman of selectors, MSK Prasad feels really happy after watching Hardik Pandya doing well this season. He said whenever Hardik Pandya performs well, it makes him happy.

“Whenever he performs well, I am proud of him and feel as if it were my son performing or doing anything similar. After the legendary Kapil Dev, finding a superb all-rounder with talents was extremely tough. The beauty of this youngster is that he has a strong foundation. All he needs to know is to keep that region between his ears in good shape, and I am confident he will develop into a fantastic allrounder.”

“Now that he’s no longer the same chubby-bubbly Hardik. He’s now married, settled down, and has a new role with the Gujarat Titans. I’m confident it will benefit him, the Titans, and Indian cricket,” he added.
