He has been a crucial member of his team for several years and has even won the coveted purple cap in the 2016 and 2017 seasons. Interestingly, he holds the record for the third-highest number of maidens bowled in the IPL, having bowled eight maidens in total.

Lasith Malinga stands tall as one of the most outstanding cricketers in the history of IPL. With an exceptional record of the highest number of wickets in the IPL, he has proved his mettle time and again. In his illustrious IPL career spanning over 122 matches, Malinga has bowled a total of 471 overs, snatching 170 wickets in the process. To date, he has managed to take 103 wickets, a remarkable feat.
