Born on the 28th of September, Jay Shah is the new chairman of the ICC (International Cricket Council). He is the son of Indian politician and Home Minister Amit Shah. He was into the family business after completing his graduation but later on joined Politics.
Jay has been in cricket administration for quite some time. He took formal training in cricket under Jayendra Sehgal. He worked in a trading company called Temple Enterprises and also owns a 60% share in Kusum Finserve.
The 35-year-old has a degree in B.tech from Nirma University and entered cricket administration as an executive board member of the Central Cricket Board in Ahmedabad. He was appointed the secretary of the Gujarat Cricket Association in 2013. He also became the youngest office bearer of the BCCI and the youngest President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) in January 2021.
Jay was appointed as BCCI secretary in 2019 and finally became the chairman of ICC in 2024.

The couple got married in February 2015. Many high-ranked public officials and politicians like the late Arun Jaitley, late Manohar Parikkar, late Sushma Swaraj, JP Nadda, Piyush Goyal, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the wedding ceremony. One of Gujarat’s best caterers Gordhan Maharaj was given the responsibility to arrange the dinner while the reception was held at the Karnavati Club in Ahmedabad.

Yes, the couple has two daughters. The elder daughter’s name is Rudri she is six years old while his second daughter’s name is not known. She was born in May 2020.
