India were in dire straits while chasing a decent total on a tricky wicket. Fans were hoping for the chase master to take the charge and bail the team out of trouble. But he isn’t the same old batter who used to chase total for fun or is he? While all hopes were pinned on Virat Kohli to take the team home after Men in Blue lost the skipper Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan got out early, the superstar once again failed to get going.

India are currently up against England in the 2nd ODI of the three-match series at the iconic Lord’s. The visitors walked into the game with a 1-0 lead and an aim to seal the series with a win. The Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl first.

The Indian bowlers once again were all over the English batters and made their life tough in the middle. The bowlers pegged back the English side at regular intervals to reduce them to 148/6 after 29 overs. However, vital knocks of 47 runs and 41 runs from Moeen Ali and David Willey, respectively, took England to a respectable total of 246.

Chasing the total to seal the series, India were rocked early by the left-arm pacer Reece Topley. He didn’t let the Hitman open his account. Soon after, Shikhar Dhawan and Rishabh Pant also followed their skipper back to the pavilion, leaving India in mud.
