Ambati Rayudu retired from all forms of the game after CSK’s title victory in IPL 2023. He played a quick cameo of 19 runs off just eight deliveries, which helped the Chennai-based franchise lift their fifth tournament title.

For CSK, Rayudu scored 1932 runs at an average of 29.72 and a strike-rate of 129.32 in 80 innings. Hence, the Yellow Army will definitely miss the services of the Indian batter in the seventeeth edition of the cash-rich league.

In this article, we will look at three players CSK can target in the auction to replace Ambati Rayudu.

1) Narayan Jagadeesan

Narayan Jagadeesan has been one of the most consistent batters in the domestic circuit. He was roped in by KKR ahead of the 2023 season. He played six games for them, scoring 89 runs in total.

While the numbers aren’t up to the mark, one should note that he batted at different positions for the two-time champions. If given a long run at one position, he can step up and deliver as he is equipped enough with the bat.

Ideally, Jagadeesan was also a part of the CSK dressing room earlier. But he didn’t get enough games due to the presence of senior players. If roped in, he can adopt to the franchise’s atmosphere quickly and can be a solid middle-order batter.
