IPL 2023: Strongest starting XI of Delhi Capitals (DC) for the season
Delhi Capitals had failed to qualify for playoffs last season.
Middle-Order: Mitchell Marsh, Manish Pandey, Sarfaraz Khan (wk)
Mitchell Marsh has shown great form in the recently concluded tour of India. He likes to play his shots irrespective of conditions, which can be very beneficial to his team. Last season, he smashed 251 runs in 8 games at an average of 31.38 and a strike-rate of 132.80. This time he will be expected to deliver more for his side.
Manish Pandey was released by the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) ahead of the mini-auction after his dismal performance last season. However, one can’t deny his ability to win games for his side. He can provide solidity in the batting line-up and take the game deep. It will be something to see if he can make a sounding comeback in the league or not.
Although Sarfaraz Khan is yet to deliver a season up to his standards, he is likely to get the nod for the starting XI. He has been in terrific form in domestic cricket. He has the ability to score quick runs by playing unorthodox shots. In Rishabh Pant’s absence, he is likely to keep the wickets.
