Ruturaj Gaikwad to miss WTC final
Ruturaj Gaikwad will not be a part of the Indian squad for the World Test Championship final. He was selected as a reserve player for the match. The right-handed batter will be getting married this week, and hence won’t be able to join the team before the final. The selectors have named Yashasvi Jaiswal as the reserve player, instead of Ruturaj Gaikwad. Yashasvi Jaiswal has joined the Team India camp in England and is preparing with the team.
The World Test Championship final will take place from June 7 to June 11 at The Oval in London against Australia. This will be Team India’s second consecutive appearance in the final of the World Test Championship. They lost to New Zealand in the last cycle, at the same venue.
