Sri Lankan skipper Dasun Shanaka holds a truckload of experience in the shortest format. He is one of the players who assess the conditions before going about his business. Shanaka is best known for his potential to score runs at a rate of knots.
The Sri Lankan skipper has aggregated 3674 runs at an impressive strike rate of 142.45. Despite possessing incredible statistics in the truncated version of the game, Dasun Shanaka went unsold at the IPL 2023 mini-auction in Kochi.
As far as his T20I record is concerned, he has accumulated 1328 runs at a pretty decent strike rate of 121.83 in 85 T20Is. Besides his batting prowess, he can be handy with the ball as well and is one of the players who can add a great deal of depth to the CSK squad.
