IPL 2021: Suresh Raina showcases football skills with cricket ball
Suresh Raina has not been in good form with the bat in IPL 2021.
Chennai Super Kings have by far been the consistent team in the 14th edition of the IPL 2021. The fact that they continued to foray teams with collective rhythm in the second leg goes to show how strong they are. These are early signs that they have a great chance to win their fourth title.
CSK are also the only team that are yet to be beaten in the second leg. The yellow brigade defeated Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad. With that, they won four consecutive games.
They will play against Rajasthan Royals at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi tomorrow. CSK squared off against Sunrisers in the recent game. They won by 6 wickets at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah. CSK captain MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Sunrisers Hyderabad posted 134 for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Kane Williamson scored 44 off 46 deliveries where he struck 1 four and 2 sixes. Josh Hazlewood was the standout performer for CSK as he accounted for three dismissals, giving away 24 runs in 4 overs.
Suresh Raina showcases his football skills
Usually, cricketers are highly involved in intense training drills ahead of the matches. This helps them keep physically fit as a fiddle which will also prevent any chance of fatigue. During training drills, players pull out other skills, say, for example, running, jumping or football skills.
However, we have rarely seen such skills in the game. Suresh Raina stole the spotlight by showcasing his football skills during the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The incident took place during the second over when Raina comfortably seized the ball with his foot and then elegantly tossed it in the air before catching it.
