Indian captain Rohit Sharma couldn’t have asked for complete and clinical performances from his teammates as India got the better of Australia in the second Test match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy series at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Team India not only bolstered their unbeaten record at their fortress but also retained the Border Gavaskar Trophy with a record fourth-straight time win emphatic win in Delhi. Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team won the game by six wickets.

As a result, they took a 2-0 lead in the four-match Test series, with two more games to be played. It will be quite interesting to see how the Aussies will respond in the third Test on March 1 at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore.

Rohit Sharma shows his rare emotions in the second Test against Australia

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma stole the spotlight after he was caught releasing rare emotions on the field during the Delhi Test. It was something really new to the fans and it was indeed a sight to behold.

The cricket fraternity hasn’t witnessed Rohit Sharma releasing a gush of emotions. However, Rohit Sharma was spotted celebrating in a wild manner, which we don’t often see in the first place. The video clip of the same went viral in no time on social media.

Talking about the game, Australia made 263 runs on the board in the first innings. The visitors restricted India to 262 runs. As far as the second innings is concerned, India ensured to dictate the terms. The hosts bundled out the Aussies to 113 runs.

In response, Team India aced the run-chase on the third day’s play. Ravindra Jadeja put up a gritty display in the second Test as well. Notably, he was once again adjudged the player of the match for his scintillating bowling performance.

The all-rounder who took three wickets in the first innings went on to account for seven dismissals in the second innings. Overall, Jadeja finished the game with ten wickets and will be looking to weave the magic in the next two Tests as well.
