IND vs AUS 2023: India’s probable XI for the first T20I against Australia

All-Rounders: Axar Patel

Veteran Axar Patel is likely to be the sole all-rounder in the side. He was initially selected in Team India’s World Cup squad. But a late injury ruled him out of the prestigious tournament and Ravi Ashwin replaced him in the squad.

In the absence of Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja, Axar will have the responsibility to contribute in all three departments. He is experienced and skillful enough to perform the job with outmost excellence.

Another all-rounder Washington Sundar is also present in the squad. But it’s highly unlikely to him to get the nod considering the team’s composition. But he may find some games if India get comfortable in the series after a couple of games.
