Shreyas Iyer missed the last few games due to injury but is expected to return into the side. He is likely to bat at Virat Kohli’s No.3 position, which would also suit his batting style. However, it will be interesting to see how he bats as he lacks match-time.

Young Tilak Varma is likely to be included in the XI to provide stability. He has been kept as a resever player for the World Cup 2023. Leading the pack, KL Rahul will be keeping the wickets and also bat in the middle-order, taking the responsiblity on his shoulder.

Suryakumar Yadav’s ODI career has not taken a launch yet. He has been struggling to crack the ODI setup. However, it will be golden opportunity for him to repay the faith shown by the management.
