ICC T20 World Cup 2022: “Singh is King” – Twitter explodes as Arshdeep Singh removes Pakistan openers inside powerplay

A gap of a couple of months has been filled with ups and downs for the Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh. He was India’s biggest villain after the youngster dropped a catch in the high-octane clash between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup encounter. However, the left-arm pacer redeemed himself in the World Cup game by dismissing the backbone of the Pakistan batting unit in Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan in his first two overs.
On Sunday, India and Pakistan are up against each other in another T20 World Cup game as both sides kickstart their respective campaigns at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. India skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and invited Men in Green to bat first in the crucial game.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar opened the bowling for India as Pakistan’s openers Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam walked out to bat. Bhuvi set the tone for India with the new ball as he gave nothing away in the first over to put pressure on Pakistan’s batting unit.

Arshdeep Singh rocks Pakistan early with Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan’s wicket
Playing his first-ever World Cup game, Arshdeep Singh dismissed Babar Azam with his first-ever delivery in the mega event. The pacer delivered a full swinging delivery as Babar Azam missed the flick and was adjudged LBW. Later, Arshdeep Singh came to bowl the 4th over of Pakistan’s innings. On the final delivery, the youngster delivered a perfect bouncer to dismiss Mohammad Rizwan to rock Pakistan’s batting.
At the time of the writing, Pakistan are 44/2 after 8 overs as Shan Masood and Iftikhar Ahmed are trying to rebuild the innings.
The fans were in the awe of the Indian youngster as they praised him for his bowling efforts in the vital clash.
