Dinesh Karthik reacts to reports of Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone buying an IPL team

Former Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Dinesh Karthik has come with a hilarious reaction after reports surfaced that Bollywood giants Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have shown interest to bid for the two new IPL teams. Incidentally, BCCI has released tender for bidding for the two new teams making the franchise-based competition a 10-team affair.
Reacting to the news, Dinesh Karthik questioned how the jersey of the team will look like. Taking to Twitter, he wrote:
“The jerseys gonna be interesting for that team.”

Ranveer Singh is known for colourful outfits and being a trendsetter while Deepika Padukone also has her set clothing line. The fans on social media were also on fire coming out with hilarious memes on social media about the possible jersey if both of them buy an IPL team.

Incidentally, BCCI has released tenders for two new teams for the next season to make IPL a ten-team affair. The franchises will get to retain a couple of players before they go into a mega auction to build a new squad for the next few years.
Manchester United owners show interest to buy IPL teams
Apart from Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, football giants Manchester United owners Glazers family have also shown keen interest to buy an IPL team, if reports are to believed true. It is learnt that Manchester United are being backed by a corporate behemoth in India.
Among those who have picked up bid documents are pharma companies like Torrent Pharma and Aurobindo Pharma. A Singapore-based private equity firm and US-based venture capitalists have also shown interest. Naveen Jindal (Jindal Power and Steel) and entrepreneur Ronnie Screwvala are also keen to buy an IPL team.
The winners of the bid will be declared in Dubai on October 25 (Monday).
