CSK vs RR Head-to-Head record in the history of IPL
The battle between the two has been intensifying in the past years.
Chennai Super Kings ran through a torrid season in the previous campaign as they failed to make it to the playoffs. The yellow brigade finished in the ninth position in the IPL 2022 points table. They were able to win only four games but lost the rest of the ten games in the competition. It was indeed CSK’s worst season in the history of the Indian Premier League.
On the other side of the coin, Rajasthan Royals made it to the finals of the competition, only for the second time. They locked horns with Gujarat Titans in the finals. However, as it turned out, Hardik Pandya and Co had the last laugh in the battle as they won the game by seven wickets to win their maiden IPL title in their debut season. Rajasthan Royals finished the IPL 2022 campaign as the runners-up.
Chennai Super Kings are one of the most successful franchises in the history of India’s premier T20 competition as they have won four IPL titles and two Champions League T20 titles. Moreover, they are also the only team that made it to the playoffs on 11 occasions, more than any other team in the competition. Besides that, they also booked their berth in the IPL finals on nine occasions, more than any other team.
Rajasthan Royals’ best season came in the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League. They made it all the way to the finals of the competition under Shane Warne’s captaincy. The Royals got the better of Chennai Super Kings in the epic final showdown to win the maiden IPL title. Rajasthan Royals qualified for the IPL playoffs on five occasions.
