The ongoing edition of the Big Bash League has grabbed the attention of the cricket fraternity for its entertainment and dynamics during the passage of play. Be it batters, bowlers or fielders, they have given absolutely everything on the field so far.
The recently-concluded fixture between Melbourne Stars and Adelaide Strikers at the Melbourne Cricket Ground witnessed an out-of-the-box incident as Joe Clarke executed a picturesque ramp shot from his repertoire.
The right-handed batter couldn’t have timed the ball any better as the simply directed the ball towards the third ball for a huge six. It wasn’t that easy to play such sort of a shot against a fast delivery, but Joe Clarke made it look so.

The incident happened during the second ball of the third over when Wes Agar pitched the ball outside off to Joe Clarke. Meanwhile, the wicketkeeper-batsman smartly executed the shot out of nowhere to launch the ball into the stands.
The opening batsman did open the face of the bat quite perfectly at the right time and scooped it over the third man for a maximum. The video clip of the Melbourne Stars’ player executing the ramp shot has gone viral on the internet.

Earlier, Adelaide Strikers batted first and posted a mediocre total on the board as they could muster only 109 runs at the expense of all the players of the batting line-up. Adelaide Strikers’ wicketkeeper by the name of Harry Nielsen top-scored with 40 off 33 balls.
In response to the small target, Melbourne Stars comfortably chased down the target without any fuss in 14.3 overs. Melbourne Stars clinched the game by nine wickets with the help of Thomas Rodgers and Joe Clarke.
Thomas Rodgers scored an unbeaten 51 off 45 balls where he essayed three fours and a six. Joe Clarke, who put up a good show with his batting exploits, chipped in with 35 off 28 balls, including 2 fours and 2 maximums.
