India’s flamboyant cricketer Rohit Sharma made the headlines when he completed 15,000 runs in international cricket. The 34-year-old stalwart became the eighth Indian batsman to accomplish this feat in the fourth Test match against England at The Kennington Oval.
The veteran cricketer missed out on making his presence count in the first innings. He managed to add only 11 runs to the scoreboard. However, that wasn’t the case when it came to the second innings. Rohit went about his business and made a solid statement.
The opener showed great temperament with the bat and scored the third fifty of the series. He grew from strength to strength and chipped in with his first overseas Test century. Fans and experts from every nook and corner of the cricket fraternity applauded him.
In the process, he also added a 153-run liaison with Cheteshwar Pujara for the second wicket, in what put Team India in the comfort zone. On the other hand, England seamers found it hard to break this partnership.

Rohit Sharma delightedly raised his bat after scoring his first overseas ton. It is also his eighth century in the longest format of the game. The opener went on to score 127 runs with the help of 14 boundaries and a six. Ollie Robinson was given the new ball to do the trick.

The lanky pacer dismissed the set batsman Rohit in the very first ball itself. In the same over, Robinson got the better of Cheteshwar Pujara as well. Team India ended Day 3 with 270/3 in 92 overs. Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja are batting on 22 and 9 respectively.
India have a great chance of winning this game and take a 2-1 lead in the series. They just need to bat well in the morning session of Day 4. Currently, India are leading by 171 runs.
