The Hundred is a 100-ball cricket tournament organized by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), featuring teams from major cities in England and Wales. The tournament first took place in 2021. Southern Brave won the inaugural edition, while Trent Rockets claimed the title in the second edition.
Oval Invincibles won the third edition and successfully defended their title in the 2024 competition, defeating Southern Brave by 17 runs. 1. Mitchell Santner’s epic running catch vs London Spirit
New Zealand international Mitchell Santner stole the spotlight after he pulled off a scintillating running catch during the match between Northern Superchargers and London Spirit. On the 11th over of the first innings, London Spirit’s Michael Pepper attempted to hit Reece Topley delivery’s ball over mid-on.
Santner who was positioned there, sprinted back, kept his eyes on the ball and made a full-blooded dive only to complete an amazing catch. The video clip of the same has gone viral on the internet.
