The Hundred 2024: 5 splendid catches that left onlookers in awe

4. Mitchell Santner takes an absolute screamer vs Oval Invincibles

Mitchell Santner features on this list again for taking another amazing catch, this time against Oval Invincibles. England international Sam Curran attempted to hit a length ball from Matthew Short, but could not get the height or distance he needed in the first place.
The ball travelled towards a safe spot but Santner sprinted in and put in a full-blooded dive, seized the ball just inches above the turf, pulling off yet another incredible catch in his safe pair of hands.
5. Tom Banton stuns Southern Brave’s batter with a splendid catch
Even wicket-keepers can take amazing catches and Tom Banton, who is the only wicketkeeper on this list, impressed fans with an incredible effort behind the stumps. During Southern Brave’s run-chase against Trent Rockets, he had his eyes on the ball before making a stunning dive on the 44th delivery.
The incident unfolded when John Turner bowled a delivery on the leg side, which Leus du Plooy attempted to glance to the boundary. As it turned out, Banton caught the ball out of nowhere, leaving the batsman in utter disbelief as he made his way back to the dressing room.
