Team India’s strongest playing XI for T20 World Cup 2024

Team India will kick-off their campaign against Ireland on June 5.

BCCI, on Monday, announced Team India’s squad for the T20 World Cup 2024. While names like Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson marked their return, others like KL Rahul, Ravi Bishnoi and Dinesh Karthik failed to make it into the cut.

However, with such a great pool of talents available, harsh decisions are bound to be taken. Whatever happens, the Indian fans should keep their faith in the management to bring another ICC trophy to their cabinet.

Without much ado, let’s take a look at the strongest playing XI Team India can field at the T20 extravaganza.

Rohit Sharma will lead the Men in Blue at the much-anticipated tournament. Apart from his captaincy skills, he remains a vital part of the Indian batting order. He can set the tone for a big total in the powerplay.

To accompany the skipper, Virat Kohli seems the best option considering the team combination. Opening the innings is not new for the veteran batter as he has been doing it for years for his IPL franchise, RCB.

Kohli has been in terrific form in the ongoing IPL and is the leading run-getter so far. If Team India want to maximise his form, it’s better to make him open and take on the bowlers when the field is restricted.
