Ireland stunned the cricket fraternity with their power-packed batting performance against the West Indies in St George’s in 2020. The Irish batters scored 93 runs without losing a wicket in the first six overs as they pounced on every chance to mount pressure on the Caribbeans.

The West Indies’ bowlers ran short of idea to stop the opposition as they kept conceding runs. Ireland posted 208/7 with the help of Paul Stirling’s quickfire 95 off 47 and Kevin O’Brien’s 48. In response, West Indies put up an exceptional fighting display in the run-chase but eventually lost by 4 runs.

The West Indies once again feature on this list as they were able to muster as many as 92 runs for the loss of 1 wicket against Afghanistan in Gros Islet in 2024. The Caribbean batters made the most of the powerplay by launching a relentless attack on the Afghan bowlers from the word go.

Despite losing opener Brandon King for 7 runs, the Caribbeans found support in the form of Johnson Charles and Nicholas Pooran. While Charles scored 48 runs, Pooran top-scored with 98 off 53 as West Indies posted 218/5 in their quota of 20 overs. The Afghans were bowled out for 114 as the Caribbeans won by 104 runs.
