South Africa’s batting firepower was on full display at their fortress in Centurion when they raced to 102 runs without losing a wicket in the powerplay overs against the West Indies. Quinton de Kock and Reeza Hendricks gave all sorts of problems to the Caribbeans as they played aggressively right from the start.

In the process, the left and right combination worked wonders for the team as they reached a century in just six overs, which was the highest-ever powerplay total in T20Is, before it was shattered by Australia in 2024. Quinton de Kock top-scored with 100 off 44 in the run-chase of 259 as Proteas won by 6 wickets.

3. West Indies vs Sri Lanka – 98/4 (Coolidge, 2021)

The West Indies played with intent against Sri Lanka and blasted 98/4 during the powerplay overs in Coolidge in 2021. The Caribbeans maintained an aggressive approach even after losing early wickets. The hosts didn’t hold back as they kept hammering sixes and fours at will, while chasing a target of 132
