2. Abdul Samad

The batter from Jammu Kashmir caught the eye after playing impactful knocks for Sunrisers Hyderabad lower down the order in IPL 2020 and 2021. This prompted SRH to retain Abdul Samad for INR 4 crore in a surprising move.

However, Abdul Samad failed to get going with the bat in the IPL 2022 and scored only 4 runs in 2 matches and the franchise dropped him to the bench for the rest of the season.

Some franchises need a quality Indian batter who can use a long handle at the death and Abdul Samand fits the bill. Hence, Sunrisers Hyderabad could also look to trade Abdul Samad in the trading window instead of releasing him ahead of the auction for IPL 2023.
