Ravi Bishnoi was omitted from India’s squad in T20 World Cup 2024 as the Indian selectors went with Yuzvendra Chahal. Nevertheless, Chahal didn’t get a single game to feature in the mega event. This gives us a hint that the Indian team management must have moved on from Chahal.

Ravi Bishnoi will look to make use of the Zimbabwe series by letting his ball do the talking. There is a decent purchase for the spinners in the middle-overs. Bishnoi could be brought into the attack at the right time for desirable results as he uses variations and sharp turn to trick the batsmen.

While the majority of the Indian players are youngsters, Mukesh Kumar is the only senior cricketer in the team for Zimbabwe T20Is. He certainly has a point to prove as he will look to lead the bowling attack by example. He is known for his accuracy and potential to swing the ball.

In the IPL, he has troubled the batters with his disciplined line and length. The right-arm fast bowler can come in handy in the powerplay, as well as, in the middle overs. He took 17 wickets in the last season’s IPL and has been in fine nick. On the international front, he took 12 wickets in 14 T20Is.
