Team India produce batting master-class
Opted to bat first, Team India made a sounding opening as openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill went all guns blazing. They smashed the Proteas bowlers all round the park with ease.
After the wickets of Rohit and Gill, Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer took the charge of the ship. They rotated the strike really well against the spinners, who were getting assist from the slow pitch.
While Iyer departed after scoring a vital 77 off 87 balls, Kohli continued to hold the other end. He went on to score a fighting hundred to ensure a good total on the board for his side.
