The former India skipper Virat Kohli played a beautiful upper-cut off the Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling during the warm-up game between India and Leicestershire. The Indian batting superstar looked in great touch during the warm-up match as he managed to spend much-needed time in the middle ahead of the rescheduled Test against England.

Virat Kohli hasn’t been in good form lately as the fans are waiting for his 71st century for more than two years now. India are coming to the final game of the five-match series with a 2-1 lead. However, they will be facing a resurgent English side under the new leadership of Brendon McCullum and Ben Stokes.

The Indian team will have to be at their best if they want to put up a good fight against the home side. Virat Kohli’s form in the warm-up match will come as a booster for the visitors as the run machine accumulated 100 runs across two innings.

Virat Kohli upper-cuts Jasprit Bumrah for a boundary

After playing a knock of 33 runs in the first innings, the former Indian skipper looked determined to make the most of the last chance to practice before the big final Test against England.

During his knock, on the 3rd delivery of the 35th over of the 2nd innings, Kohli played a fabulous upper cut off Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling. It was a short delivery from the Indian pacer that was rising on Kohli after pitching. However, it was a bit outside the off-stump, hence, Virat Kohli managed to negotiate with it by playing an upper-cut for a boundary.

Kohli completed his fifty in the 2nd innings of the warm-up match as he managed to score 67 runs before getting out. Virat Kohli faced 98 deliveries in the middle and scored five boundaries and two maximums.
