On Wednesday night, the South African wicket-keeper batter Quinton de Kock played his best-ever knock in the IPL as the Left-southpaw smashed a mighty century against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Lucknow Super Giants were up against Kolkata Knight Riders in the 66th match of the Indian Premier League 2022 at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai. It was a crunch encounter as neither of the teams had an option to lose.

LSG’s skipper KL Rahul asked the opposition to bowl after winning the toss. The KLassy Rahul alongside his opening partner Quinton de Kock made a cautious start as the duo added 44 runs in the powerplay without losing the wicket.

Both batters kept playing the bowling on the merit and created a solid platform for a big finish towards the death. While KL Rahul was trying to hold one end, Quinton de Kock was playing the role of the aggressor. The Proteas’ wicketkeeper soon took the charge after completing his half-century and smashed all KKR bowlers all around the park.

Quinton de Kock vented out his emotions after a brilliant century

de Kock kept going with his knock and completed his century off 59 deliveries. As soon as the Proteas superstar completed his century, he let out a big roar alongside a punch to his bat. It was a galore of emotions from the South African after reaching the milestone in front of his family and daughter.

Quinton de Kock didn’t lose his focus after completing his century and went all out on the attack. In the end, he remained unbeaten for 140 off 70 deliveries, including ten boundaries and ten maximums.

Alongside KL Rahul, Quinton de Kock stitched the highest-ever opening partnership in the history of the IPL as the duo added unbeaten 210 runs in 20 overs.
