As India and Pakistan gear up for the all-important Super 12 clash between India and Pakistan, young fast bowler Shahnawaz Dahani was spotted sneaking in a conversation with MS Dhoni during Pakistan’s training session.
While the hype around the high-voltage clash is on an all-time high, the cricketers from both countries have huge admiration for each other. On multiple occasions, they have been spotted talking to each other ahead of the match. On Saturday, in a video that surfaced on social media, Pakistan pacer Shahnawaz Dahani was seen talking to Team India’s mentor MS Dhoni.
Both of them were involved in a brief conversation as well and interestingly, Dahani was heard saying, “Aap Dhoni hain…mai Dahani hoon.” In response, MS Dhoni said, “I am getting older now.” Shahnawaz came up with a cheeky response to former India cricketer’s fitness saying, “No, you’re even fitter than before.”

The former India captain has been admired by young cricketers across nations. It has been a ritual in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with junior players coming up to MS Dhoni to have a chat with him after every Chennai Super Kings game.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President asserted that they wanted to have MS Dhoni on board for a long time now and that the association will hopefully reap benefits.
“Jay (Shah) and I were discussing for a long time about how to involve Dhoni. He has won 2 World Cups after all and has not left cricket completely. Hopefully, he will be a good addition. It can’t possibly be bad. Let’s see,” Sourav Ganguly said while talking to Salam Cricket.
