T20 World Cup 2022: Two changes India might make in their playing XI against Netherlands
Despite winning the first game, India would require to revisit their combination.
2. Harshal Patel in for Axar Patel
The left-handed spinner came in as a replacement for the injured Ravindra Jadeja in the Indian squad. While he is a bowling upgrade over the latter, the same can’t be said about his batting.
Axar Patel failed to deliver with the bat after getting a promotion against Pakistan. Furthermore, he did bowl only a single over against Pakistan, where he was smashed for three maximums by Iftikhar Ahmed. With the game against South Africa in sight, India might try Harshal Patel in place of Axar Patel against the Netherlands.
Harshal Patel is no mug with the bat and can provide handy contributions lower down the order. Moreover, India will meet South Africa in Perth and that is paradise for the pacers. Hence, Rahul Dravid & co. might look to give Harshal Patel some confidence before they field him against South Africa.
