Tilak Varma has done everything correctly to be selected in the main line-up ever since he made his international debut. He has performed all the different roles with utmost perfection and showed his range as a batter.

But the presence of senior players will derail his selection process. Even against Australia, he was sent to the bench once Shreyas Iyer joined the camp. Once again, the story will be no different.

The likes of Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav and Rinku Singh will form the middle-order. No wonder Tilak will have to wait for his chances. In case of an injury or tactical changes might open the gates for him.
