The 34-year-old stalwart looked sensational with the bat during the second Test match at The Home of Cricket. Rohit Sharma scored 83 in the first innings of the second Test match. He drew praises from every nook and corner of the cricket fraternity.

He carried his good form even in the third Test match against England at Headingley in Leeds. The phenomenal batsman hesitated to take any risk as he kept leaving deliveries coming way outside his off stump. As a result, he succeeded in confronting the English seamers.

During Day 3, he surprised everyone including the fans by playing an uppercut for a six. He deftly executed the shot to perfection while facing Ollie Robinson. The lanky pacer delivered a short-pitched delivery to Rohit and the latter timed the ball perfectly towards the third man for a maximum.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma went on to complete his 14th Test fifty in style. He struck as many as 7 fours and a six to his name. The stalwart ended up scoring 59 valuable runs for the team before getting dismissed leg before wicket off Ollie Robinson.
