Hailing from South Africa, Abraham Benjamin de Villiers changed the perspective of the game forever. His unorthodox batting style blent with innovative shots created a buzz across the cricket fraternity. Despite not winning any significant trophy, he is regarded as one of the best cricketers ever and one of the best batters of his era.
AB de Villiers was famous for his attacking batting style in the limited overs but managed to master the purest format of the game as well. As a genuis, he served the South African side for 16 years including the captaincy stint. He announced his international retirement in 2018 but wanted to make a comeback to feature in the 2020 T20 World Cup. Unfortunately, the homecoming didn’t happen as walked off with his extraordinary legacy.
