Meanwhile, a Pakistan fan had accused the Kiwi cricketer of skipping national duties for money. The tweet went viral on the internet and it also caught Neesham’s attention. The cricketer who received plenty of messages about the same decided to reply to a fan who accused him.
The cricketer said that it was a part of the New Zealand Cricket Player Welfare Policy that he is not part of this tour. The Kiwi all-rounder also that he requested exemption, but the same was rejected by the board.
“I’m getting a lot of messages like this so I want to be crystal clear. It is an NZ Cricket player welfare policy that first-choice players aren’t on this tour. I made a request for an exemption but that request was denied,” tweeted New Zealand cricketer James Neesham.
