IPL 2024: RCB’s strongest playing XI for the upcoming season

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) finished sixth in IPL 2023 points table and failed to qualify for the playoffs.

Several eyebrows were raised after the Bengaluru outfit secured the services of West Indies paceman Alzarri Joseph for INR 11.50 crore at the IPL 2024 auction. Overall, he has played 19 games in the IPL, accounting for 20 dismissals including a fifer.

Mohammed Siraj has been the consistent pace bowling weapon for RCB for the last few years. The right-arm pacer has a knack for taking wickets inside the powerplay overs and is likely to lead the bowling attack by example.

He was quite exceptional in the last season, wherein he took 19 wickets in 14 games. Karn Sharma was pretty decent for RCB in the last season wherein he took 10 wickets in 7 appearances and will be looking to deliver good performances yet again.

Akash Deep recently burst onto the scene when he rattled England’s top-order by taking 3 wickets in his debut match in the fourth Test in Ranchi. He played only 2 games last season wherein he took 1 wicket.
