Adam Milne is one of the options that the GT think-tank might consider roping him in. The 31-year-old set his base price at INR 2 crore at the auction but was overlooked by the teams. The New Zealand international who plays ODIs and T20Is, is known for his potential to take early wickets inside the powerplay overs.
Besides that, he is known to bowl effectively in the death overs, which makes him a valuable asset for Gujarat Titans. The one-time IPL champions certainly require someone who can hold the nerves and contain runs in death overs and Milne could be the one. He has taken 58 wickets in T20Is and 7 wickets in IPL.
3. Riley Meredith
Riley Meredith could also be one of the ideal replacements for Mohammed Shami. Gujarat Titans will look at the resume of bowlers who possess a wealth of experience and Meredith could be the right asset. He is someone who understands the nuances of T20 cricket.
The 27-year-old Australian international set his base price at INR 1.50 crore at the IPL 2024 auction but went unsold. Having played 68 games in Australia’s premier T20 competition, he has accounted for 87 dismissals. He has taken 8 wickets in T20Is and 19 wickets in the cash-rich IPL.
