IPL 2023: Three players Delhi Capitals (DC) might target in mini-auction
Delhi Capitals have already freed up a larger portion of their purse.
1. Jason Holder
The debutant Lucknow Super Giants spent INR 8.75 crore to secure the services of the big West Indies all-rounder in the IPL 2022. Holder had a decent season with the bowl as he bagged 14 wickets in 12 matches. However, he failed to impress with the bat as he could only score 58 runs in 8 innings.
The Super Giants from Lucknow have released Jason Holder ahead of the IPL 2023 as they look to bolster their batting unit. Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals need a bowling all-rounder in their ranks to replace Shardul Thakur and Jason Holder could be a perfect replacement.
Delhi Capitals only have two overseas slots to fill and Jason Holder will be a quality addition to their squad. Furthermore, the Delhi-based franchise also has the funds to pull off the signing and bringing the Caribbean in will bolster their bench strength as well.
