IPL 2023: 3 teams that can target Sam Curran at mini-auction
Sam Curran was named player of the tournament at the 2022 T20 World Cup.
1. Sunrisers Hyderabad (Purse Remaining: INR 42.25 crore)
Sunrisers Hyderabad have a strong pace unit, including Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik, T Natarajan, and Marco Jansen. However, they don’t have proper death bowlers barring T Natarajan. Hence, signing Sam Curran might solve their death bowling woes.
Furthermore, the English all-rounder can also double up as the finisher for the Hyderabad-based franchise. Sunrisers Hyderabad have released some big names ahead of next season and the signing Curran will pass a statement of intent from their side.
The Orange Army has the biggest purse among all franchises and hence, they are in the strongest position to sign any player they want despite the price tag. Hence, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Sam Curran donning the SRH jersey in the IPL 2023.
