2 – Nicholas Pooran
The left-handed southpaw from West Indies was one of the most expensive players in the auctions for the IPL 2022. However, he contributed decently for Sunrisers Hyderabad as he scored 306 runs in 14 matches at an average of 38.25 and an impressive strike rate of 144.33.
However, courtesy of his massive price tag and his recent form in international cricket, Sunrisers Hyderabad released him ahead of the IPL 2023. Rajasthan Royals need an attacking batter in the middle order who could finish the game for them.
They entrusted Riyan Parag to do the job last season but the youngster failed to perform as per expectations. If the Royals could add Nicholas Pooran to the middle order, then he alongside Shimron Hetmyer could form a deadly duo to finish the games for them.
