IPL 2023: 3 players Punjab Kings (PBKS) can target in mini-auction
Punjab Kings will look to fill gaps in their squad.
1 – Sam Curran
The English all-rounder missed the IPL 2022 because of an injury but he will be back in the auctions this time around. He is coming off a highly successful T20 World Cup campaign, where he reinvented himself with the ball. The left-arm pacer was equally effective with the new ball and at the death as well.
Punjab Kings desperately need a bowling all-rounder after releasing Odean Smith from the squad and there is no better option than Sam Curran available in the mini-auctions. He is pretty effective with the bat and can be used as a floater.
Furthermore, he will add some firepower to Punjab’s bowling department as well. The all-rounders will be available at a premium during the mini-auctions but the Mohali-based franchise has the upper hand over their competition courtesy of the massive purse.
