IPL 2023: 3 fast bowlers Rajasthan Royals (RR) could sign to replace Prasidh Krishna
Prasidh Krishna underwent a back surgery.
2. Ankit Rajpoot
Ankit Rajpoot is known for his swing bowling and exploits with the new ball. The pacer was a part of the Lucknow Super Giants set-up last season but he was released ahead of the next season. Furthermore, he didn’t find any buyers in the auction and currently available in the market.
Ankit Rajpoot has experience of playing in the Indian Premier League as he has bagged 24 wickets in 29 IPL matches. While his economy rate is a bit on the higher side, he is very potent in the powerplay. The right-arm pacer didn’t feature in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022 but he had decent returns in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022-23.
Ankit Rajpoot bagged 11 wickets in 9 matches at an economy rate of 4.55. While Ankit Rajpoot is nowhere near the quality of Prasidh Krishna but his bowling style is almost similar. He is a tall bowler who likes to hit the deck hard. Furthermore, there is a serious shortage of quality Indian pacers available ahead of the IPL 2023.
