We all know that Virat Kohli is a vibrant personality on the field. He never shies away from showing his emotions and passion while playing. Former Indian skipper left RCB’s captaincy ahead of the IPL 2022 and now featuring as the player only. However, it doesn’t affect his competitiveness a bit, as he still wants to win a game at any cost.

Virat Kohli’s passion was again on display in the game between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Batting first, RCB posted a decent total of 181/6 in 20 overs courtesy of a brilliant knock of 96 runs off 64 deliveries from the skipper Faf du Plessis.

Chasing the total, Lucknow Super Giants didn’t have an ideal start as they lost Quinton de Kock and Manish Pandey inside the first five overs. However, the skipper KL Rahul was still in the middle, trying to stabilise the innings alongside Krunal Pandya.

Harshal Patel came to bowl the 8th over of the LSG’s innings. On the final delivery of the over, he dished out a harmless delivery down the leg to KL Rahul. But the LSG’s skipper missed the ball to Dinesh Karthik‘s gloves. However, the umpire didn’t call it wide as the ball brushed something on the way to the wicketkeeper.

While Dinesh Karthik wasn’t sure about anything, the RCB’s skipper Faf du Plessis, decided to take a gamble and asked for a review, given it was KL Rahul. In the process, the third umpire found a piece of conclusive evidence on the snickometer that the ball had indeed brushed KL Rahul’s gloves on its way to DK.

Virat Kohli could not hide his delight and let out a huge roar as the decision went in RCB’s favour. He could also be seen hugging the skipper Faf du Plessis, standing near him.

Another failure for Virat Kohli with the bat

The horrible run of the former skipper with the bat continued against the Super Giants as well. The Run-Machine got out for a golden duck off the bowling of Dushmantha Chameera. Virat Kohli has managed only 119 runs this season, and the fans are waiting for the king to return to his best.
