While making his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians, the young South African import Dewald Brevis lived up to the hype as he hit an outrageous no-look six against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Mumbai Indians are searching for their first win of the season as they lock horns with the Knight Riders on Wednesday.

Dewald Brevis showcased his talent on the biggest stage

In the game against Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians decided to drop the destructive Tim David for the young Dewald Brevis. The ‘Baby AB’ walked out to bat at the number three for the five-time champions after the fall of Rohit Sharma in the third over of the innings.

Brevis took no time in taking the attack to the opposition as the U19 star raced his way to a well-compiled 29 runs off 19 deliveries. The highlight of his knock came on the first delivery of the 7th over, where he smashed a splendid no-look six off Varun Chakravarthy.

The delivery was sliding toward the leg; Dewald Brevis bent his head down and refused to look up after depositing the ball over deep mid-wicket for an 81M six. However, he could not play a longer knock as Varun Chakravarthy immediately got his revenge. Brevis was stumped on the 5th delivery of the over, which cut short his impactful knock.

Mumbai Indians are searching for a win desperately

Things have not worked as per plan for Mumbai Indians this season. This season, the Blues are yet to open their account after losing their first two fixtures. They have already lost to Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals by 4 wickets and 23 runs, respectively.

On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders are 2nd in the points table with two wins and a single loss in three matches. They will be eager to get one over their nemesis Mumbai Indians, to reach the top of the league standings.
