Northamptonshire has recruited the services of Indian seamer Siddarth Kaul for a short-term deal. The 33-year-old will be representing the team for the next three County Championship Division 2 matches.
Northamptonshire confirmed the development on their official X handle. The club posted the picture of Kaul along with a caption. “Siddharth signs. We’re delighted to welcome Indian seamer Siddarth Kaul to the club for our next three @CountyChamp fixtures.”
The English County club has done its bit in adding a dimension to the team’s bowling attack. Siddarth Kaul who went unsold in this year’s IPL auction in Dubai, certainly has a point to prove in the English domestic circuit.
This will be his first stint in county cricket and it remains to be seen what holds in store for him. The seamer who played 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is for Team India has expressed his delight after the club signed him. He vowed to offer great assistance in trying his best to help the team churn out results in their favour.
“I’m very happy to be here to represent Northamptonshire and very excited to help the team win games and push for promotion. I’m confident that I will bring my positive mindset and experience to help my teammates win in any situation in the match,” Kaul said.
