IND VS ENG 2024: India’s predicted XI for first two Tests against England

Middle-Order: Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, KS Bharat

Shubman Gill is likely to retain his No. 3 position in this test series. He failed to step up against the Proteas. Hence, he will be under pressure to deliver results this time and take his career to new heights.

For the no. 4 position, the thinking tank is likely to go with KL Rahul as Virat Kohli is unavailable. The Karnataka-based cricketer is a very skilful batter and he will be expected to keep doing the good for the national side.

Shreyas Iyer will probably bat at no. 5 and can be used to counter-spin bowling. For the wicketkeeper role, KS Bharat is likely to get the nod ahead of young Dhruv Jurel, who earned his maiden national team call-up.
