IND vs AUS 2023: Virat Kohli leaves players in stitches as Usman Khawaja decrypts his instructions

Rohit Sharma and Co got off to a scintillating start to the Border Gavaskar Trophy series with an emphatic win over Pat Cummins and Co in the first Test match at VCA Stadium in Nagpur recently. Rightly so, India won the game by an innings and 132 runs and took a 1-0 lead in the series.

Meanwhile, the second Test between India and Australia is taking place at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Australia won the toss and chose to bat first. The visitors showed some positive signs in their batting workforce as they were able to muster 263 runs at the expense of all the 10 wickets.

Mohammed Shami was able to extract a lot of positives on the Delhi wicket on Day 1. He showcased a great deal of experience by accounting for four dismissals whereas the likes of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja took three wickets apiece.

Usman Khawaja understands Virat Kohli’s message

Usman Khawaja provided much-needed stability to Australia’s batting line-up by scoring a half-century. The southpaw went on to score 81 runs including 12 fours and a six before being dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja.

However, during his stay at the crease, a hilarious moment was caught during the passage of the play. Virat Kohli was well aware of the fact that Khawaja was comfortably playing some reverse sweep shots against spinners on the first day’s play.

Meanwhile, a video clip featuring Virat Kohli and Usman Khawaja went viral in no time on the internet. The video clip begins with Virat Kohli giving some instructions to veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.

As Virat Kohli gave some suggestions in Hindi, Usman Khawaja clearly understood what Kohli meant in the first place as both Khawaja and Kohli shared a light moment as both the players also giggled at that.

On the other hand, Team India finished Day 1 with 21/0 as Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul remained unbeaten on 13 and 4 respectively. Rohit Sharma and Co still trail by 242 runs.
