Herschelle Gibbs claims BCCI threatening him over his participation in Kashmir Premier League

Meanwhile, the former cricketer made the headlines recently for his shocking claim on BCCI. The former Proteas cricketer launched a scathing attack at the richest cricket body. He did it because the cricket body had threatened him over partaking in the forthcoming edition of the Kashmir Premier League.

The tournament will get underway on August 6 in Muzaffarabad. Stars like Gibbs, Tillakaratne Dilshan are among the 6 participating teams in the tournament.

Herschelle Gibbs lashes out at BCCI on Twitter

The former Proteas cricketer Herschelle Gibbs expressed his disappointment on the micro-blogging Twitter platform. He said that BCCI threatened to ban him from cricketing activities in India if he participates in the Kashmir Premier League. The Proteas batting great boldly took to Twitter and wrote against BCCI.

“Completely unnecessary of the @BCCI to bring their political agenda with Pakistan into the equation and trying to prevent me playing in the @kpl_20. Also threatening me by saying they won’t allow me entry into India for any cricket related work. Ludicrous.”

However, Gibbs is not the first person to slam BCCI. Earlier, Rashid Latif, the former Pakistan wicketkeeper also spoke about BCCI’s approach towards the participating players in the KPL.

“The @BCCI warning cricket boards that if their former players took part in Kashmir Premier League, they won’t be allowed entry in India. They will not be allowed to work in Indian cricket at any level or in any capacity. Gibbs, Dilshan, @MontyPanesar & several others have been selected in KPL,” he wrote.
