The young seamer registered himself at the mega auction for a base price of Rs 20 lakhs. The uncapped Indian pacer drew interest from the bidders at the auction table. In the end, he was sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 4 crore.
He is one of the uncapped Indian players who might as well prove to be a productive asset for the Sunrisers. He made his IPL debut for the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2020 against Mumbai Indians. In the next season, he conceded only 1 run in the last over against Punjab Kings while defending four.
