The English pacer has earned a reputation for being a white-ball and death specialist. He is a proven performer in T20 cricket but Chris Jordan has failed to prove his worth in the Indian Premier League so far.
Chennai Super Kings signed the 34-year-old for INR 3.6 crore for the IPL 2022. However, he failed to deliver for the four-time champions as he could only pick up two wickets in four matches at an economy rate of 10.51.
CSK are likely to release the Englishman as it will free up a big chunk of the amount for their purse going into the auction. They could use those funds to sign a more suitable bowler for the upcoming season.
